| An old socket (ID larger than the sliding top hat spacer) with most of the teeth hogged. Cut some slots and made some little ears. 1) | Cut a stepped bar in the lathe to fit the bearings. The big end got pressed into the socket. The step sits 3/16” below the business end of the socket. 2) | Held it together with a hose clamp for welding. 3) |
